1st Line Defence had an excellent couple of days exhibiting at the Contamination Expo at the NEC Birmingham last week (12-13th October). The expo is the leading contamination event in Europe, showcasing and providing insight into the products and innovations that are helping to advance contamination management, prevention and recovery around the world. The show was an ideal platform to promote 1st Line Defence’s services, as our business is so interlinked with land contamination issues.
It was great to meet exiting clients and make new contacts over the two days. The stand itself and the inert examples of WWII ordnance that we brought along from our collection certainly seemed to make an impression with visitors (in additional to a selection of Land Service Ammunition (LSA), we exhibited a 250kg, a 500kg and two 50kg German HE bombs). The issue of UXO is becoming more ingrained and more deeply incorporated into areas such as planning, insurance and company standard operating procedures, and the services we provide seem to be more in demand than ever. To be able to share ideas and stories with current and potential clients, and educate those who are yet to use UXO services was a great opportunity.
