It was a great night for 1st Line Defence at the Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards 2018 in St Albans last night. Hosted by the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce at St Albans Cathedral, this prestigious event focuses on and celebrates the expertise, achievements and outstanding contribution that businesses and individuals continually make to the growth of the county.

1st Line Defence were delighted to win three awards including the main prize of Business of the Year (Small to Medium).

Our commitment to investing in the latest survey equipment and technologies for UXO detection was recognised for the Innovation Through Technology award (sponsored by Focus7 International). Staying at the forefront of technology is vital for our business and for allowing us to provide the best service to our clients. The use of multiple survey platforms and detection methodologies allows us to operate across a range of different sites and ground conditions, giving us flexibility and, most importantly, reliability, and a high level of trust in our results.

Our high levels of growth and robust plans for sustainable financial performance led us to win the Business of the Year East Herts (sponsored by Longmores Solicitors). We were particularly pleased of recognition in our local area as we are very proud to operate in Hoddesdon and to be involved in the wider community.

The highlight of the evening was the Business of the Year (Small to Medium) Award (sponsored by Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership). The category was for Hertfordshire businesses which demonstrated the highest levels of growth, financial performance and success. The judges were looking for evidence of business commitment to staff, managerial performance and how we differentiate our products and services from our competitors.

We would like to say a big thank you to all our staff at head office and to all of our UXO Specialists, supervisors and ground operatives who work hard across the UK to make what we do possible.
