Streets in Soho were evacuated yesterday after the discovery of a reported 500kg WWII bomb.

Press articles reported that the device was found on a construction site on Dean Street near the Soho Hotel. An EOD team attended and safely removed the bomb overnight to a location where it will be detonated.

The find highlights the importance of considering unexploded ordnance as a potential risk during construction works across London and the UK.
