A 40mm semi-automatic light AA gun which fires brass-cased HE tracer rounds, designed to destroy aircraft and as a small-calibre cannon for anti-material purposes. These guns were fitted to shipping, and were produced in a stand-alone wheeled unit which was employed to defend military installations, airfields and front line areas.
