Quality Assurance and Control

1st Line Defence implements thorough internal and external QA and QC during any Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) operations. This is carried out by competent employees who have received required training and experience to carry out these duties.

1st Line Defence Ltd is an accredited ISO 9001:2008 company (Certification No. 8289).

  • We work to our stringent CSOP (Company Standard Operating Procedures) on all projects.
  • We prepare site specific RAM’s (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) for each project

Health and Safety

1st Line Defence puts the Health and Safety of its employees and everyone associated with projects involving UXO as the number one priority.

  • A health and safety representative is nominated prior to commencement of each project.
  • We only employ qualified competent persons to carry out the required work.
  • All personnel are provided with adequate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each project.

British Safety Council

The British Safety Council, is one of the world’s leading Health and Safety organizations Safety Practitioners the world over use the services and training they provide.The British Safety Council is a government-regulated awarding body and, as such, must comply with a wide range of conditions set by the regulator so that rigour and consistency in the awarding of qualifications is maintained.

Construction Line

Contractor Health & Safety Assesment Scheme (CHAS)

CHAS is established as the market leader for health and safety pre-qualification in the UK. Companies apply to join the scheme so everyone knows they meet acceptable standards of health and safety compliance and being CHAS approved reduces duplication as suppliers compliance is accepted by all CHAS buyers.
